The Gestalt philosophy states that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts
We usually group things into groups that we understand.
We judge an object mostly by its size.
III. Thinking
Humans usually always look for conformation for their own preconceptions.
Belief bias is, for example, Democrats support freedom of speech -> Dictators are not Democrats -> Dictators do not support free speech.
We look at issues based on the way it is framed.
IV. Intelligence
People think in pictures, auditory skills, logic, balance, sounds, interpersonal, interpersonal or naturalistic. One is the strongest in each individual.
Mental age is what a person at a particular age should know.
You can determine someones IQ by dividing the mental age by the chronological age and multiplying by 100
Intelligence test have to be standardized, reliable, and validated.
V. Language and Thought
Chinese has no semantics, which is the set of rules which we derive meaning in a language.
There's a Native American tribe that does not use past tense.
Chimps can problem solve and Apes can use sign language.
